This modern and compact 4-stage direct flow reverse osmosis (R.O) water system with drop-in pre-filters is the newest member of our NUTOUCH family. The systems were enginnered by our manufacturer by taking into account the new technological possibilities, the needs and trends that are needed in the EU market.
The direct flow water purifier has 2 high quality pre-filters that prepare the water for the 1000GPD high-performance reverse osmosis membrane that is responsible for the production of 3L/min of extremely clean drinking water*. The taste of the purified water produced is further complemented by a granular carbon/alkaline post-filter for an added purification and good taste. The main advantage of this system over other reverse osmosis water purifiers is that it works without a tank, so stagnant water is not a problem anymore. Also, the well-chosen pump & R.O membrane combination has significantly improved wastewater discharge (2:1).
The system can remove up to ~95 % of the contaminants from water using one of the world’s best water treating technology. Due to its 4-stage filtration system, it easily removes a significant amount of chlorine and chlorine derivatives, odor and bad taste, viruses and bacteria and many other harmful substances such as heavy metal ions, total dissolved solids (TDS) from tap water making it tasty, fresh and vital.
The blending/mineralisation valve can help you to adjust your TDS levels to your desired value, depending from your needs. A TDS value between 100-200 ppm is recommended for an excellent quality drinking water.
*The quality of the purified water produced depends on water pressure, temperature and level of contamination as well.

FILTER TECHNOLOGY:

SMART INDICATION OF FILTER STATUS: A color indication on he front panel of the filter reminds of the need to change the replacement filters. Additional sound indication (1 short signal - the capacity is running out, 2 short signals - replacement is required).
INDICATION OF PURIFIED WATER QUALITY: The color indication on the front panel of the filter warns about the deterioration of water quality and the need to change the replacement filters.
AUTOMATIC MEMBRANE CLEANING: The membrane runs a self-rinse mode after 20 minutes of TOTAL usage or 12H in STANDBY MODE.
LEAKAGE PROTECTION: The filter automatically shuts off the inlet water if there are any leaks inside the filter.
OPEN FAUCET ALARM: The unit notifies you with a sound signal after 30 minutes in case you forget to close the faucet. The unit automatically shuts off the inlet water 3 minutes after the buzzer sounds to prevent flooding.
Pressure Switches: The system is equipped with pressure switches. The low pressure switch shuts off the pump when there is no inlet water or its pressure is too low. The high pressure switch shuts off the pump when the filtered water faucet is turned off.
Booster pump: it offers the advantages of favorable wastewater-treated water ratio (about 2:1), operation in places with lower water pressure (smaller settlements, homesteads, 10th floor) and offers faster tank filling.
Faucet: Designer faucet for filtered water is included and usually mounted on the sink deck or countertop for dispensing the clean, filtered water from the filtered water outlet of the main R.O. unit.
Drain Saddle: Fits a standard 1.5” diameter drain pipe to drain the waste water from the drain outlet of the pump box.
TDS blending/mineralisation valve: Many times there is the desire to raise the total dissolved solids (TDS) of our filtered water. This is due to the fact that the purified water produced by the reverse osmosis water systems have usually a TDS value of ~25-35 ppm. For the best drinking water quality and personal well-being it is recommended that the TDS value should be ~100-200ppm. To achieve a TDS value in that range we use a TDS blending (mixing) valve. The set-up of the blending valve is recommended to be set by a specialist when installing the water purifier.
TDS blending is incredibly simple and involves mixing your filtered water (water filtered by the first two pre-filters: carbon block and sediment) with the R.O water to achieve a TDS that's desirable to your needs and taste. Since the water sytem already includes the two pre-filters, the feed line between the pre-filter system and the R.O pump is tapped and as mentioned above the filtered water (not raw water), is mixed/blend with the purified R.O water in order to produce the desired TDS value.
