5 Stage R.O. Filtration System

• 5-micron sediment pre-filter to filter suspended particles such as dirt, sand, rust, etc.

Pressure Switches: The system is equipped with low and high pressure switches. The low pressure switch shuts off the pump when there is no inlet water or its pressure is too low. The high pressure switch shuts off the pump when the filtered water faucet is turned off.

 

Booster pump: it offers the advantages of favorable wastewater-treated water ratio (about 3: 1), also operates in places with lower water pressure (smaller settlements, homesteads, 10th floor) and offers faster tank filling.

 

Faucet:  Designer faucet for filtered water is included and usually mounted on the sink deck or countertop for dispensing the clean, filtered water from the filtered water outlet of the main R.O. unit.

 

Drain Saddle: Fits a standard 1.5” diameter drain pipe to drain the waste water from the drain outlet of the pump box.

 

Pre-Filters: The main R.O. unit has three pre-filters: two sediment pre-filter on the first stage and activated carbon pre-filter on the second stage. They provide initial filtration of the water and protect the following thin film composite R.O. membrane from dirt and aggressive chemicals such as chlorine often found in tap water.

 

R.O. membrane: The fourth and main stage of the filtration is high-production R.O. membrane. It is “semi-permeable”, which means that it allows water to pass through but prevents dissolved particles from passing through. It splits the feed water into two streams: clean water goes to the post-filter and then onto the faucet. Waste water with rejected particles goes down the drain.

 

Post-Filter: Last stage of filtration is an activated carbon post-filter for fine conditioning and to keep the extra freshness of your water.

Notice: The quality of the treated water depends on the pressure, contamination and temperature of the water to be treated. One important thing: the water purifier removes contaminants for approx. It filters out 95% of the water! It collects only a few percent of these contaminants, while flushing almost all of the contaminants back into the sewer system! This is the best working water purification method in the world today!

It is advisable to replace the three pre-filters (1st, 2nd, 3rd) and carbon post-filter (5th) every 6-12 months depending from your water quality. The R.O membranes should be replaced every 24 months.

An antimicrobial post-filter containing 5% silver and 5% KDF can also be ordered at an extra cost.
